STEAM Along the Lakeshore

The Hackley Public Library, Lakeshore Fab Lab, Lakeshore Museum Center, MiSTEM Network, Muskegon Community College, and Muskegon Museum of Art are asking for your support of the Inaugural STEAM Along the Lakeshore Event!

WHEN: Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10am-3pm

WHERE: Hackley Park, Hackley Public Library, Lakeshore Fab Lab, Lakeshore Museum Center, and the Muskegon Museum of Art

WHO: Pre-K to high schoolers and their families/guardians

WHAT: STEAM Along the Lakeshore is an adventure that encourages students to engage in STEAM activities and take home supplies to continue their explorations!

STEAM Along the Lakeshore will start in Hackley Park where children will receive a sling bag with a STEAM kit, a “passport” and a shirt. They will travel between the four anchor organizations for the event, participating in STEAM activities at each location.

Additional community partners will have STEAM related activities throughout Hackley Park.

After completing each activity, they will get their passports stamped. Once they receive enough stamps, they will turn in the passport for a chance for raffle prizes.

This event will be FREE and open to the public. The planning committee hopes to welcome over 1,000 children and their family members/guardians.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We would not be able to put on such an event without great community sponsors!

Various levels of sponsorship are available and sponsors will find a place on all of our marketing materials, t-shirts and other printed media.

Please contact Dan Rinsema-Sybenga to inquire about how you can help us put on this event!
