Case Study #2: Big Brothers, Big Sisters

Case Study #2

Big Brothers, Big Sisters

Description

We have the privilege of having the Bigs and Littles from Big Brothers, Big Sisters (BBBS) of the Lakeshore come to the fab lab for various projects. BBBS is a mentorship program that pairs kids with adult mentors to be their friend and their guide through life. We have worked on many different projects with them including Sticker Design 101, CNC Router Signs, 3D Printing, Virtual Reality, Laser Cutting 101, and even some Paper Circuits greeting cards!

looking to the future

Sometimes these events have been so popular we have to rotate attendees from event to event so that everyone gets to have some fab lab fun! We hope to grow this program and have the Bigs and Littles doing more advanced projects in the future.
